Book Series I want to read in 2017

I have started so many new and different book series this year that it was going to be difficult to read all of them, so some have been forgotten, or just left half way through. In 2017 I am sure I will buy many more new book series that will be added to my ever growing TBR pile. So for 2017 I have chosen 5 book series I want to try and get up to date with by the end of the year. Some I have started already and just need to continue reading them, and some I will have to start with book one.

The Mortal Instruments Series

I started the Mortal Instruments series earlier on this year and I really enjoyed books one and two, but for some reason I never continued reading the rest of the books. I have heard some mixed reviews about the series, but most of the reviews do praise the series and say its worth the read. Also if I do make some headway into the series it means I can pick up the Infernal Devices series, which everyone I’ve met raves about. With only four books left to read in the series its not much and I hope to be able to finish this series before the end of 2017.

The Bone Season Series

The past six months I’ve seen loads of posts on social media about the Bone Season series, and it felt like I was missing out on something, so I went out and bought book one and two. Just by reading the description of the first book I know I would enjoy reading this series very much, and I have not excuse not to start it in 2017. The third book in this series is released in March, so hopefully by then I will have read both The Bone Season and The Mime Order.

The Chaos Walking Series

The Chaos Walking series is another series I started but never completed. I read The Knife of Never Letting Go a few months back. I have to admit it took me a while to get into but by the end I really liked the book. I knew as soon as I finished I didn’t want to start the second book straight away because I wanted to read something different. Now I think my hesitation to start the second book has stalled my progress in the series. I really liked the authors writing and I know I will enjoy the last two books. So I hope in 2017 I will find the enthusiasm to read the rest of the series.

The Red Rising Series

I have heard nothing but amazing things about the Red Rising series, and it makes me even more excited to read this series when I finally get round to reading it. When I first bought Red Rising I didn’t know what it was about, the only reason I bought it was because it was on my Recommend List on Amazon, and the cover looked beautiful. After buying it I started to look at some of the reviews for the book and the series and there were loads praising the book and the series. I really do hope I will find the time to start and finish this series because I really do think I would enjoy all three books.

The Percy Jackson Series

The last series I want to try and finish is the Percy Jackson series. This is another book series that I have started but didn’t finish. I read the first three books and for some unknown reason never continued reading the last two. I found the first three to be really fast and enjoyable reads and I am sure the last two books will be just the same. If I manage to finish this series is also means I would be able to start the Heroes of Olympus and the Magnus Chase series.

Hopefully I get round to reading all these fantastic series next year along with many other new and exciting series.

What book series do you want to either start or carry on with in 2017?
