‘5 Books, 5 Categories’ Book Tag

img_3470

I was tagged a while ago on Instagram to do the ‘5 Books, 5 Categories’ book tag and because I had some free time after work today I decided to give it a shot.

After looking at a few of the photos on the tag I saw that people decided to choose different categories, so I decided to go with these categories-

  • A book you own but have no idea on the plot
  • A book everyone loves
  • A book you love but is not talked about enough
  • A book series that you have yet to complete
  • A book you are currently reading

I thought that these five categories were a great way of choosing different types of books off my shelf. I really enjoyed doing this and I may do this tag again with different categories.

A Book You Own But Have No Idea On The Plot

I decided to choose Red Rising by Pierce Brown because if I’m honest I have bought this book and not even read the back description. I only bought this book because everyone was talking about the third book in the series being released and everyone was praising the series and I thought I should really start reading it. I have yet to pick up and start it, but I hope to soon.

A Book Everyone Loves

I picked A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J Maas. Every review I’ve read, watched or listened to has praised this book so much, and they should because it is amazing. I only started this series earlier on in the year and I loved A Court of Thorns and Roses but ACOMAF completely blew me away. Its a chunky book but I managed to read it in a few days because I couldn’t put it down, and by going with all the reviews everyone else felt the same way too.

A Book You Love But Is Not Talked About Enough

I went with The Seven Sisters by Lucinda Riley because its amazing. From the beautifully developed characters, to the stunningly detailed scenery it caught my attention and didn’t want to let me go. I wish more people would read this book because it is brilliant and I know people would enjoy it. It is soon to be made into a TV Series so hopefully people will pick up the book then.

A Book Series You Have Yet To Complete

I still have not finished The Mortal Instruments series by Cassandra Clare. I know everyone says how amazing this series is, but I just haven’t found the time to pick up the next book. I have read the first two books in the series and I have the other four on my shelf ready to read but every time I go to pick the third book up I choose something else instead. Hopefully by the end of the year I would have progressed a little further into the series.

A Book You Are Currently Reading

I’m Currently reading An Ember In The Ashes by Sabaa Tahir. Again I am late to this series and I only bought it after people were reading and raving about the sequel. I am about half way though the book and I am really enjoying it. At least now when I finish this I wont have long to wait for the sequel to be released.

That’s my 5 books 5 categories tag, I hope you enjoyed reading this. What book do you love but is not talked about enough?
